Request for Nominations: The Alliance for a Healthier Generation Youth Advisory Board (4/30/08)
The Alliance for a Healthier Generation is bringing together a select group of young people from all across the country to serve on our inaugural Youth Advisory Board. Guided by their unique experiences and opinions, Youth Advisory Board members will not only provide feedback on the Alliance Kids’ Movement programs and strategies, but also generate new ideas on how to make healthy living the norm, not the exception. The Youth Advisory Board will meet once a month via conference call, as well as “in-person” at an annual board meeting held in July. The time commitment is about two hours a month, with the exception of the “in-person” meeting which will be two and a half days.
Nominees must be between the ages of 8-17 and live in the United States. To nominate an outstanding young person, contact John Wilson, Youth Mobilization Manager, at john.c.wilson@healthiergeneration.org
Completed application packets must be received by Wednesday, April 30, 2008 (6 PM CST). Click here to read the flyer. Click here to read the recruitment letter.
